Dear Evergreen Families,
I hope the break has been good to you and that you've had time to sharpen the saw, rest, and enjoy being together.
As we get ready to start back tomorrow, I wanted to reach out with a quick welcome. There's something energizing about the start of a new year, it feels like a fresh chapter for all of us.
Students: We've missed you and can't wait to see you tomorrow! Come ready to share your stories and jump back into learning. Remember to S.O.A.R.—be Safe, On-Task, Accountable, and Respectful. As a Leader in Me school, this second half of the year is your opportunity to practice the 8 Habits and show what it means to be a leader every single day.
Staff: Thank you for everything you do. I know getting back into the swing of things takes effort, and I appreciate you showing up ready to make it great for our kids and to model our schoolwide expectations.
Families: Thanks for your continued partnership. Please remind your students about our S.O.A.R. expectations and encourage them to apply the 8 Habits both at school and at home. If you need anything as we ease back into routines tomorrow, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you.
See you all tomorrow. Let's make 2026 even more special at Evergreen.
With Appreciation,
Dr. Cardenas
